PFK Electronics is awarded the Top Technology 100 Minister's Award for Sustainability
On the 28th April 2010 at the Technology Top 100 Awards Function held at the Vodadome at Vodaworld, PFK Electronics were awarded the "Minister's Award for Sustainability". This is the ultimate measure where the entire organisation and its management are evaluated as to its overall contribution within its chosen market place and to the South African Society as a whole.
The essence of this award is the value that the organisation contributes to both its internal and external communities. Such an organisation demonstrates not only a unique ability to manage the T I P S elements within its own operations, but also demonstrates its ability to manage its impact on the environment, its commitment to Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment, job creation, employment equity and in some instances, private / public partnerships. The package includes evidence of the organisation's ability to make a meaningful difference to communities, whilst at the same time, contributing to organisational ecology.
The organisations recognised in this category have met the following criteria :
- The awardees must have entered TT100 in the past three years.
- They must have won at least one catergory in that period.
- Their overall assessment placed them in the top ten of this year's established sector
